Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

Inflammatory bowel disease or IBD consists of two conditions, ulcerative colitis, which occurs only in the large intestine, and Crohn's disease, which may occur anywhere in the alimentary canal.

This course covers the causes, the pathophysiology of the inflammatory reaction and immune response, types of disease states associated with IBD, diagnosis, and the non-pharmacological and pharmacological treatments that are currently utilised to treat IBD.
