There are five courses in the Thrombosis area:

Provides an overview of haemostasis, the role of platelets in blood coagulation, and the coagulation system

covers the formation and components of a blood clot or thrombus, including the definition of thrombus, thrombosis, thromboembolism and embolus
Antithrombotics
Provides an overview of the antithrombotic drugs currently available, the different classes of drugs, their properties, including their mechanisms of action and principle indications
Venous Thromboembolism
Provides an overview of Venous Thromboembolism (VTE), including details of its prevalence and incidence, main causes, development, and techniques commonly used for diagnosis
Prevention of Stroke in Atrial Fibrillation
This course covers the principal characteristics and causes of atrial fibrillation, including the classification schemes used for clinical evaluation of patients.
